I tried these today to give as holiday gifts.   Growing up, popcorn balls were a staple, but I wanted to try something different.  These are definitely kicked up.  I did omit the ginger, it was very expensive at the store.  I’ll bet they are really yummy with the ginger. If I were to make them again without the ginger, I would add say orange liquer or some other flavoring.
