Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup ketchup
  2. 1/2 cup chili sauce
  3. 2 tablespoons horseradish
  4. Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  5. Hot sauce, as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine the ketchup, chili sauce, horseradish, lemon zest and juice and hot sauce to taste in a small mixing bowl. Serve alongside fried shrimp. Store, refrigerated, in an airtight container.

using chili sauce is a short cut…
just use ketchup, prepared horseradish (not the creamy sauce), lemon juice, 7 dashes worchestershire sauce, and tobasco sauce to taste and you have traditional coctail sauce

 Better than any you can buy!

I add a bit of Worchestershire sauce to mine… 2 or 3 dashes.  LOVE IT!
