We really enjoyed these! I did pat them in a circle and then cut them into slices before baking for a more traditional look. I brushed them with some heavy cream and sprinkled some raw sugar on top for an added crunch. These were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Sometimes scones can be very dry in texture so I tend to under bake a bit to avoid that. The cinnamon flavor was perfect and not overpowering.
Scones are such a wonderful and quick breakfast item. These were easy to put together and baked up nicely. They were slightly dense but that could easily be my measurements were off. The flavor was good and we enjoyed them slathered with homemade cinnamon, honey butter.
