Cinnamon Bun Icing

  4.8 – 119 reviews

This tasty, fruity salsa is spicy. It has a little crunch from a somewhat underripe peach. Put a spoonful on hamburgers or serve with corn chips. To change the flavor, substitute vodka for the tequila.

Hands down the best cinnamon bun icing ever. It doesn’t have an overpowering taste of cream cheese and is the perfect texture for cinnamon buns. I use this icing every time. Even my son who is not a huge cream cheese frosting fan loves it.

This is so easy and tasty. I squeezed it out of a sandwich bag to get the look on the coffee cake.

super easy, super delicious !

Super thick and sweet! I more than covered a 9×13 pan of cinnamon rolls.

Awesome topping for cinnamon rolls. Only thing I’d change is maybe add more cream cheese or cut back on sugar. I perfer more of a cream cheese dominate sauce.

makes A LOT of icing!!!!! You really don’t need three cups of confectioners sugar. Two will do plenty. I only used two and it tastes great. I made some to dip my animal cracker cookies in.

Yum! This was the best! Made it with butter, no problem.

Made exactly as written. Heavenly! Then, I used some of the dough and filled it with sugar free BlackBerry jam. Another one Had the cinnamon plus pecans. I rolled but did not cut after it till cooked. YUMMY!!!

Sweet and creamy! Next time I will cut in in half as this was way too much for 12 rolls… but very delicious!

Yep! Just as delicious as you would think it would be! I didn’t put the full three cups of sugar because I knew my cinnamon rolls needed a less sweet icing and I was right! Sooooo good! Made a lot… I frosted 30 cinnamon rolls and still had a ton leftover.

Delicious! Not too sweet and compliments the cinnamon rolls. Super easy to make and every time I make it, it comes out perfect.

Tastes delish but mine was awfully thin. In that case just add more icing sugar

Needs some more cream cheese, but a great start!

No changes at all , made it just like it says — huge hit in my family and easy to make

Perfect recipe. I cut all the ingredients in half and had enough for both a 13 x 9 pan and a 8 x 8 pan of cinnamon rolls. I didn’t want it piled on too thick.

Wonderful thick frosting/icing for cinnamon rolls or other sweets,! Made 6 dozen medium sized rolls , doubled the recipe here and have lots left to frost sugar cookies (basic sugar cookie but crushing pepermints into the remaining frosting and adding colored sugar for festive touch!)
Erica Wolf
Perfect! Not overly sweet or gritty. Made plenty, too! I subbed maple extract for the vanilla. I also used soy cream cheese.

I now ONLY put this icing on my cinnamon buns.

If you add about 4 more oz. of cream cheese it takes down the sweetness some and makes it just perfect! 😀 Awesome and very easy recipe!
