Perfect! A recipe and a half with a 3rd banana fed 4 adults. Mine were fluffy and delish!
Deeeeeelicious!
So good. Will add to rotation. Fluffy, tasty. Used dark chocolate chips as that is all I had on hand. Reminder, batter is best to let sit about 10 minutes to meld after mixing it together. Let the ingredients do their thing. Also, don’t use overly ripe bananas as that will make it too wet a batter.
This recipe is delicious! I followed it exactly as written and it turned out great! I did not have mini-chocolate chips, so I rough-chopped the regulars ones into smaller pieces. My kiddos loved this recipe and I will be making it often!
greattttt
Not fluffy & no deep chocolate taste.
5 stars, these were fantastic! I made them exact to the recipe but used walnuts instead of pecans because that’s what I had on hand. My family devoured these and have requested them again next weekend. Will definitely be added to my go to’s for a treat. Thank you for the great recipe!
This is the second time I’m making this recipe. After years of making “healthy” pancakes (with almond flour and no sugar etc) I decided to embrace the “dessert for breakfast” mindset and make some REAL pancakes. And . Was it worth it! It’s diner quality nostalgia goodness.
I can’t count how many times I’ve made this recipe. It’s the best pancake recipe I’ve ever used. I eat mine without syrup because they are THAT delicious! The kids have syrup of course, but these are their favs as well. I’ve even made this recipe into muffins… about 16 mins on 400.
I loooove this recipe. We used apple sauce instead of egg and used a smaller amount of butter. My 10 year old daugter made it with a little help.It turned out very yummy.
I loved it
Great pancake recipe. Comes together quick and is a hit with the whole family. Omitted the chocolate because I figured it’d be too sweet. glad I did. Great recipe.
It is delish!
These pancakes we’re delicious. My roommate loved them. I didn’t change a thing.
Omitted the nuts only because my husband doesn’t like them. Added one extra banana. Those were the only changes. Excellent recipe!
These were fantastic! I was looking for something rich, and this was perfect, without making me feel sick. I made some substitutions: I subbed in half whole wheat flour, coconut oil for butter, soy milk for skim milk, and large dark chocolate chips instead of the mini ones. Oh, and I used walnuts. I chopped the walnuts fine and smashed the banana, so it wasn’t as chunky b/c I was worried I wouldn’t like the texture otherwise. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted! Thanks!
I will make this again and again, my brother and mom and dad loved them and they were so good!!!!
I always hesitate to leave reviews — I’m one of those people who has a hard time following a recipe ‘as written.’ I made several changes as I put these together. I used 1/2 white flour, 1/2 whole wheat flour. Added 1/4 c. rolled oats. Used 1 c. “buttermilk” — 1 T apple cider vinegar + enough milk to make one cup. Unfortunately, I had to leave the nuts out — I didn’t have any pecans or walnuts on hand. (I’m sure either one would be amazing!) I served them with chocolate syrup and diced banana. My son said “TEN STARS!!!” He eats a lot of homemade pancakes and waffles, so that’s high praise. 🙂
Today I saw this recipe in an allrecipes magazine at my doctor’s office. I am a reformed magazine recipe stealer 🙂 Now I just snap a pic from my cell phone and everyone can be happy.
my son loved these
Yuuuumm. Thanks
