You have got to be kidding me! I prepare food network recipes almost every day. I entertain a lot but also cook meals from scratch on a daily basis for my family. Boy am I glad I did not serve this to guests. Make sure to serve it with hamburgers and you have the “Fixin’s” already chopped. Funny how if we read it on a great website, we lose track of what we are actually preparing.
This was great…the only thing I would change for my taste preferences would be a tad less vinegar…it was a little overpowering for me but other than that it was wonderful!
This was very simple and my children really enjoyed it which is very important. They had a healthy serving of vegetable without a fuss. I did have to use balsamic vinegar as a substitute red wine vinegar because I forgot to buy it. It was awesome. This is a regular added to my menu.
I so LOVE this salad! Could eat it all day. The dill pickle and red onion go beautifully together. Will use over and over and over…..:)
I only had iceburg lettuce on hand, but was still bright and zesty tasin’. Also used dill instead of sour pickles.
Like the previous poster said I was like “add pickle to salad?” But I gave it a try and actually now prefer to add pickle whenever I have onion in my salad. Just really kicked up the flavor. LOVED the salad and it will be my go to salad in future.
I would not have thought of combining all of these ingredients as a salad, (mainly, adding the pickle) but it was good and I will make it again.
