Reviews
these are super cute and easy to make.
Great!
This was very easy to do. I used the double boiler and used two tooth picks In the stem to dip them. The chocolate chips were thicker than expected when melted. I used a rubber spatula to spread the chocolate around on the berry after dipping it in the chocolate. I added sprinkles to some and melted a few white chocolate chips to drizzle on some. They turned out looking great and tasting so good! I did them about three hours before eating them and refrigerated them right after they were cooled on a rack stem end down.
I used dark chocolate and made the recipe as written except for adult parties I use an injectable device, available at gourmet shops, and inject Cointreau or Grand Mariner into the strawberries before dipping.
Simple and fantastic!
Easy and delicious. Melting chocolate in microwave wasn’t the best process, took longer than expected. Next time I’ll use double boilet.
You can’t go wrong with chocolate and strawberries! I used white chocolate and made ghosts using a mini chocolate chip for the eyes and mouth. Boo!
Made these tonight, with the sweetest strawberries fresh from the farmers market. We used milk chocolate, and will try it with white and dark as well. I did add about 1t of vegetable oil with the melted chocolate. Buy the most ripe berries for maximum flavor.
I’ve been making them myself for 6 years. They are awesome!

Easy and perfect
Easy and perfect
I am amazed at how easy these were to make! I uses Ghirardelli chocolate chips and they were yummy. BF loved them! Easy valentine’s gift! I let them rest on parchment paper and used room temperature strawberries. 🙂
Well you need to keep water on double boiler on because the chocolate cools a little. Perfect V day gift to a friend or family member! Great recipie!
Awesome
Great recipe! I used kilikina’s idea for strawberry tuxedos, using white and dark chocolate–with a dab of vegetable shortening added–and piping buttons and bow-ties. They turned out so cute! I took them to my concert dress rehearsal and they were gone within minutes with many many compliments. Thanks for the idea!
I made these without using Milton chocolate. I realized you can use any kind of chocolate. I melted my chocolate in a chocolate melter. The process was easy and simple. Hardest part was cleaning up. You have to eat the strawberries right when they get out of the freezer. The taste was amazing! Messy fun, and delicious!
Make sure your strawberries are dry. I like dark chocolate instead just an idea
I used dark chocolate in the microwave and they were fabulous!
The only tip I would like to pass on to make dipping easier. I like to put a toothpick in the stem and dip into chocolate, then stick the other end of the toothpick into a emptied closed egg carton to let the chocolate-dipped strawberries set.
Fantastic. So easy. First to go at parties. One tip. Don’t leave them in the refrigerator too long. They start to sweat and the chocolate gets a little funky.
