Yield: | 6 servings |
Ingredients
- 175 grams (6 ounces) dark chocolate
- 12 long-stemmed strawberries
Instructions
- To make tempered chocolate, chop the chocolate into pieces and place 3/4 of it in a small glass bowl in a microwave for 20 seconds exactly. Stir the chocolate and continue to microwave for 20 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and shiny. Add the remaining 1/4 of the chocolate and stir until smooth. The chocolate should register 87 to 89 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Dip each strawberry into the tempered chocolate and place on a sheet pan covered with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 2 minutes to set.

Reviews
Easiest way to temper chocolate I’ve ever seen. Never again will I risk the double boiler method!!!!
This recipe was simple and easy, all the other recipes said to use a double-boiler but doing it in the microwave turned out great it is something that I will do more often.
I tried this on strawberries and pretzels! What a great combination that was. And what a shame it is that someone who is upset over Ina cooking for a single man and Aida’s show can influence the rating of a recipe!
i think it is tasty and it made my mouth water just looking at it.!!!!!
I have been making my chocolate covered strawberries for years, and everyone loves them! Ina has been cooking much longer then “ask Aida”, so maybe Aida copied Ina. Think about it, maybe there’s a reason they took Aida show off the air!
