The only reason for this lower review is although the bottom chicken layer was delicious, the top layer had an overwhelming butter flavor.

I should have taken que from the video when they both acknowledged the butter taste. Would love to make it again somehow but don’t how to tweak the topping.

Yes, I love this recipe. I usually make it several times a month!! I get a rotisserie chicken from Sam’s, then use all of the white meat in the pie. If there are drippings in the container, I add them to the broth in the recipe. I substitute cream of mushroom soup instead of the soup that it calls for. We love the chicken pie!

I grew up with my Mammaw making this in MS. I made it last night in memory of her. Its a dish that always comforts me. My Mammaw always used cream of celery instead of cream of chicken, so that’s how I make it, and I love it.

This is a great comfort food dish. I made it per recipe and it came out savory and delicious. More like a casserole. Went perfect with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Excellent simple southern dish.

I have made this recipe many times. I added frozen mixed veg and have used bisquick a few times. I usually add poultry seasoning to the filling to give added depth of flavor, easy and Delish meal!!

The best chicken pie recipe! Filling is delish, and the crust gets nice and crispy/brown once finished baking. 10/10 recommend!
