My husband loved this…it was easy and took little time…

This was a big hit at my house. Chicken Fried Steak is one of my husband’s favorite meals, and I thought I would try making it for him. He raved, and so did our picky daughter. I served with mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed broccoli. The only thing I wish the receipe could have been more specific about was the heat level; something more than “fry in hot lard.” I had the heat up to medium high on my stove top, but that was actually too hot. The first two browned way too fast and were rare on the inside. I turned the heat down to medium, and the rest turned out great. Everyone’s stove is different though! I will definately serve this again; on occasion only due to the high fat content.

Just like my Grandmothers. Just needs cayenne pepper in the flour mix, and a good hot sauce after it’s done. Just so it’s not too bland.

I used this recipe with chicken, and it was wonderful! I’ve never made chicken-fried anything before, and this recipe was too easy. Easy, simple and good stuff! Can’t wait to try it with steak.

Easy, fast, and was wonderful. Needed a recipe for the gravy too, but we managed. Great food!
