Serve tortilla chips, crisp vegetables, or both with this hot dip! For a sizable party, this dish yields enough food.

Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 burgers

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ pounds ground chicken
  2. 3 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  3. 1 tablespoon Kalamata-olive tapenade
  4. 2 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  5. 1 ½ tablespoons crushed garlic
  6. ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  7. ⅛ tablespoon coarse-ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix chicken, oregano, tapenade, feta cheese, and garlic together in a bowl; form into 4 patties. Season burgers with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate with olive oil.
  3. Cook patties until charred on bottom, about 5 minutes. Flip the burgers and finish cooking, refraining from flattening with your spatula until no longer pink in the middle, about 5 minutes more. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels before serving.

Loved this!! Followed another person’s post about not having fresh oregano and used 2 t. of dried oregano. Also didn’t have crushed garlic but an open jar of minced garlic, same difference they were delicious!

Amazing perfect no change needed

Delicious! I didn’t have any fresh oregano, so I used 2 t dried oregano. Also, knowing that my olive tapenade and my feta weren’t that salty, I added 1/2 t salt. I made the mixture into 10 patties and pan fried for about 4 minutes per side. I served with a quinoa salad.

I made this without the oregano and added a dash of jalapeno for a kick. Delicious!

This was amazing! My whole family enjoyed it I used chopped kalamata olives mixed with a little olive oil and dried oregano because that’s what I had on hand. I also added an egg but the mixture was almost too wet to form patties so next time I’ll skip it. None of the flavors were overwhelming just super tasty! We enjoyed it on a bed of greens with a nice lemon salad dressing. This recipe is now on my rotation!

Made the Greek salad with romaine, and the tzatziki II recipes from this page to go along with it. The burgers were juicy and it was a great meal!!

Very tasty.

Made this with 1 lb turkey and 1 cup smashed chickpeas instead of the chicken. So good!! Cooked it in a cast iron skillet so it was crispy – will def make again.

I put 5 stars but it’s probably more like a 4.5 for us. I used ground turkey instead of chicken and since it was only 1lb, I did the appropriate conversion for the ingredients. I used dry oregano instead of fresh (again, doing the proper conversion). I only had minced garlic so used about 1/2 tbsp of that, but probably could have used the full tbsp. I put the burgers over beds of lettuce, topped with a slice of fresh tomato, tzatziki sauce, and a bit more feta. Very yummy! I didn’t get much of the tapenade or feta flavor from the burgers themselves, so next time I’ll be increasing those (hence the 4.5). The meal actually tasted quite light, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely be making this again with some tweaks. Thanks!

Delicious

Liked the taste but the cooler was weird being so grey, I also ate it without a bun so with a bun color would have been hidden. Taste was a 5 star but color just knocked it down.

I love Greek food so thought I would try making these. They were good, but I felt the feta and olive taste overpowered the chicken somewhat. #Allrecipesallstarscanada #CleanEats

Tasteless and bland.

Couldn’t taste feta cheese, olives didn’t go well with meat, meat dry and not tasty at all.

This recipe came out AMAZING! I did not use the tapenade because I’m not a fan of Olives. I made the chicken burgers patties with ground chicken, salt, pepper, minced garlic, feta cheese as the recipe says, but I added an egg and quarter cup of bread crumbs. I used a whole egg and only 1lb of meat so the patty was a bit sticky. If you use the full 1.5lbs or should be good. I put all of the ingredients in a bowl, mixed them, made the patties and set them in the freezer for about 20 minutes. I grilled them about 6.5 minutes each side since they were a bit thicker. I also added some grilled onions. I took a white onion and sliced into rings. Put some canola oil, Sally and pepper. Grilled them directly on the grate for a bit little less than the burgers. Set the burgers on a bowl of 50/50 blend salad with halved grape tomatoes. Set the onions on top and drizzle with tzatziki sauce.

This is a simple, delicious burger. My family seldom

You know it’s good when there is not a word spoken at the dinner.

I love this recipe. I cook them in the oven at 400 for about 15-20 minutes. Rather than eating these with hamburger buns I would suggest either plain or on pita bread with hummus.

This recipe is excellent and those little burgers go straight to your heart! Could only buy what seemed like a pretty big (jam size) jar of kalamata tapenade….but wouldn’t you know, we used that whole jar up in about 6 months making this recipe over and over and over. It even turned a hard-core red meat man into a chicken burger guy.
