Love love this recipe! Quick, easy and delicious!
This is a very popular “salad/desert” and I’ve made it many times over the past 30+ years. I have always added a small can Mandarin Oranges [drained], a jar of maraschino cherries, one sliced banana, and one apple diced into small pieces. Remember to add about 1-cup miniature marshmallows to really finish off the best most popular side.
One of our favorites! I have made this several times and it is so simple and delicious
I have looked for this recipe for decades! I helped my mom make this the night before my thirteenth birthday party. I had never had it before and she lost the recipe in a move shortly after that birthday but it was so good that I kept a look out for it. I’m now forty-five and so happy to have stumbled upon it so many years later.
To cut the sweetness, I added cottage cheese. It literally tasted like a fruit salad that is usually made with jello, whip cream, cottage cheese, and canned mixed fruit.
Wonderful salad for any occasion.
I gave it a five just on difference and the base recipe. I’ve made it multiple times because I prefer this to ice cream and don’t limit it to holidays. Added items for a little change: 1/2 cup coconut shreds, or 1 cup mini marsh mellows, or 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. I always add 1 large can of mandarin oranges.
My Mother-in-Love made this dish for years and I had her recipe but misplaced it. I was so happy I found this recipe on AllRecipies! It was exactly like my MIL’s recipe! Thanks SHAY72 for posting this recipe! You were a life saver!
I made this but I also added 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, one cup shredded coconut and two cups marshmallows.
This is absolutely delicious! It lasts about 2 days with just me and my hubby!
Simple but very delicious. Everyone loved it and took extra home with them.
I like this recipe but it is even better if you combine the sweet and condensed milk with an 8 ounce package of cream cheese before mixing everything else together. And I like to add pecans also.
Yum super easy and it reminds me of my grandmas… like a holiday tradition
It was delicious and very easy to make.
Added walnuts. I make it every year.
Awesome! I substituted fat free vanilla yogurt for the condensed milk. Use less yogurt than what was called for the condensed milk. Very thick and delicious!
I added a can of mandarin oranges, drained and some chopped pecans. Great. Everyone ooohed & aaahed over it. They all wanted the recipe. So I’m guessing it was delish! Will be making this again.
AWESOME THANK YOU FOR POSTING.
It came out great for Mother’s Day dessert. No hard work and still turned out awesome.
I made it as written, but added the 2 cups of mini marshmallows that are in many other versions of this recipe, and which my cousin uses. I refrigerated it for 2 hours and took it to a neighborhood potluck Easter dinner. Everyone who tried it told me how good it was!
Very disappointed not very flavorful
