This is the BEST cobbler recipe I have ever tried! Made a few minor changes like only 3T of butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and I use no-sugar-added pie filling from WalMart. Receive so many compliments!

This is a super easy recipe but it is almost inedible due to being way too sweet. You need to half all the sugars. I will try it again to get the sweetness nicer – it’s a shame to spoil the flavour of the cherry by overriding it with sweetness. I think I will also add some lemon zest to bring out the flavour.

Nice, easy

I added some chopped up apples too!

This is so good. Can’t wait to make it again.

We loved this recipe and could easily have eaten the whole pan at once. I made no changes.

Not a real cobbler, but is an excellent cherry dessert. I also used less sugar and added vanilla and cinnamon

I baked this cherry cobbler using cherries from the grocery store. I think next time I am going to use cherry pie mix, and 3/4 a cup of flower, instead of a cup. I had to bake the cobbler for almost an hour. It turned out good, but not the best I’ve ever had.

Wonderful recipe, been making this for years! This year I had to make changes due to new food sensitivities. I used almond milk and a gluten-free blend for the flour. Otherwise I made it as written. Delicious as always!

Too sweet as written.

Easy and tasty! It was a tad too sweet for my liking, but everyone else loved it. My oven runs hot, but the dough cooked perfectly and was finished in 30 minutes. I’d love to use this recipe with other fruit in the future.

Great recipe to use with fresh cherries. I did cut the sugar a bit and the water a little. This made the syrup nice and think. The topping was everyone’s favorite.

Everyone loves this cherry cobbler! There are never any leftovers. I make almost as written except I add cinnamon and nutmeg and vanilla to the biscuit mix. Too runny? Add a little more starch. Great recipe, thank you.

Made as written, and it turned out beautifully! Delicious! Can’t wait to try out different fruits.

I added a teaspoon of vanilla to the batter. Everything needs some vanilla. May want to adjust the sugar level depending on how sweet or sour your cherries are. I also used the juice I got from pitting the cherries in place of part or all the water.
Samuel Eaton
I love this recipe. The topping is more cake like but still delish!

I loved this cobbler, delicious! I used frozen cherries, drained the juice, and used a cup of juice in place of the water, as called for in the recipe. Next time I will use a bit more corn starch to make the syrup a bit thicker. I shared it with my neighbors, they liked it, also.

This cobbler was so easy to make and delicious! It’s hard to find cherry cobblers in restaurants so was really happy to find this recipe. I’m actually taking to our 4th of July family get together to share.
Matthew Bowen
I did not make any changes and I will make it again.

Have made it many times using a variety of fruits, frozen and fresh. Too sweet for my taste so I reduce 3/4 sugar in dough to 1/2 and 1 cup in cornstarch mixture to 1/2

Delicious! Serve warm with ice cream or whip cream!
