I thought this was great and very tasty. My son, who is very finicky, ate this like it was pudding! LOL Insanely quick to throw together. I followed recipe except for to exchange the bacon bits for 3 strips of fried bacon, crumbled. The only reason I took 1 star off is because I found it very salty as written. I tried it with 1/2 the amount of the dry ranch dressing mix requested and loved it much better! The flavor found in the ranch is rich and strong enough to go around with less quantity. Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe!
This is so delicious! I used real bacon instead of bacon bits and added some green onions.
Very good! I make it all the time!
This dip was really good, the only thing I added was some green onion per other reviews. It tasted even better the next day, we ate it with normal potato chips and pretzel crisps. I plan on making it and using it on baked potatoes in the future.
I used 1/4 cup of bacon bits instead of the 3 ounce can.
This dip was a favorite at my daughter’s sleep over. I have made it a few times but the second time I added more bacon as I found everyone was looking for the bacon bits. Excellent with tostitos scoops or fritos.
I made this dip with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and it was fantastic
I use the spicy fiesta ranch mix instead of the plain ranch mix for an extra kick. It’s always a kick wherever I take it.

I made it with real bacon. Seemed a little bland, so I added a little chili powder, tasted better. Next time I might add some finely chopped jalapenos.
This was really good.. even my kids loved it.
This dip is excellent, but for the best flavor make it atleast two days ahead of eating it…we ate it with Frito scoops
I used the individual packet of buttermilk ranch. Not too salty and made hours ahead. Topped with green onions. Would make again. Served with potato chips. Big hit!
Real easy. I made my own Bacon Bits instead of getting the kind in the jar. I mixed in some bacon and cheese and then when it came time to serve, I put some extra bacon and cheese on top.
I make this dip for every party and its always the biggest hit!
Made this for a cabin trip cookout, the only complaint I heard was there wasn’t enough! I will double next time. I omitted the bacon this time around, next time I will offer crumbles for the top that folks can add as they wish so it wont get soggy. Thank you!
Really easy and very good. Used real bacon rather than jar of bacon bits. Served with crackers. Big hit.
Very easy and tasty. May add more sour cream to make it a little less salty.
i was looking for something quick and easy, yet unique. This was perfect. I did half sour cream and half mayo tho because i don’t love sour cream. Also, i split it in half nad warmed half in the oven so the cheese totally melted. The warm one was gone first!
Perfect dip! Used potato chips (the sturdier the better) and celery sticks! My sons have asked for it again (Christmas miracle)!!
Really good!
