Yield: 15 rolls

Ingredients

  1. 15 frozen, unbaked, un-risen dinner rolls
  2. Melted butter
  3. Coarsely chopped fresh rosemary
  4. Coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Place the dinner rolls in a large lightly buttered skillet, allowing some space between the rolls. Cover with a dish towel or cloth napkin and set aside in a warm place to rise for at least 2 to 3 hours.
  2. When risen, the rolls should be poufy and soft. Brush melted butter onto the rolls. Then sprinkle the rolls with chopped rosemary. Finally, sprinkle with sea salt.
  3. Bake (as instructions on the packet – usually 400 degrees F) for 15 to 20 minutes. Don’t be alarmed if you pull them out of the oven and they’ve risen way over the surface of the pan. Within a minute or two, they’ll calm right down.
  4. Then you can dig right in!

Has anyone ever tried to make these rolls with Gluten-free Pizza dough? It comes in a lump, which you could let rise a bit, punch down, roll into the rolls, put them in a smaller pan for baking?

These sound yummy. I am trying to think of an alternative version for my Gluten-sensitive daughters.

Great recipe. Instead of rosemary, I used everything bagel seasoning. Definitely making them again.

So easy, I use for all the holidays…after baking all the cookies and cakes, this is easy and so good!

Bread is the HUGE hole in my repertoire. HUGE thanks to Ree for giving me permission to use frozen dinner rolls!

I couldn’t find rolls that need to rise, but I still used this recipe on frozen rolls and boy was it a HUGE success! I will never make frozen rolls any other way. The whole family LOVED them. Thanks Ree!

Super easy and yummy! My husband tries to stay away from carbs but he nearly consumed the entire pan! Will be making these for Thanksgiving.

Don’t make these for special occasions with family or you will be expected to make them every single time. Yeah…it’s totally worth it. The look when someone bites into a warm buttery roll and that rosemary and salt bite hits you…..is priceless.
