No one says you need to save the creamy, tangy flavors of buffalo wings only for chicken. Those same flavors can be used to transform a simple crisp salad, like we did here. Blending some avocado into the base of a ranch dressing adds extra nutrition and creamy texture.

Instructions
- Puree 1/2 avocado with 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 tablespoon each cider vinegar and water, 1 scallion and 2 tablespoons each chopped dill and parsley until smooth; season with salt and pepper. Combine 1 small head chopped iceberg lettuce and 1/2 cup each halved grape tomatoes, sliced celery and shredded carrots in a large bowl. Drizzle with the dressing and 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper hot sauce. Top with crumbled blue cheese.

Great salad that got lots of compliments. Everyone added their own hot pepper sauce and blue cheese which provided flexibility with different tastes. Will definitely make again.
