This meal was created as a college student and is pronounced “Is-uh-bart-uh.” It not only sated my insatiable appetite and my love of Italian cuisine, but it also got high marks from my female friends. Easy to make, much easier to consume!

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup light mayonnaise
  2. ⅓ cup white sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  4. ½ pound cooked bacon, crumbled
  5. 4 cups chopped broccoli florets
  6. 1 cup chopped celery
  7. ¾ cup grapes, halved
  8. ⅔ cup slivered almonds
  9. ½ cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Combine mayonnaise, sugar, and red wine vinegar in a bowl to make dressing.
  2. Combine bacon, broccoli, celery, grapes, almonds, and raisins in a large bowl; stir in dressing and serve.
  3. Mix red, green, and purple grapes if possible.

I used Cotton Candy grapes which happen to be in season. Unfortunately their flavor was lost in this salad. I liked the crunch factor from the celery. Thanks for the recipe.
