Broccoli Cauliflower Salad

With the addition of Salisbury gravy, this recipe was created to make a superb country fried steak. The dish is made heartier and more flavorful by adding sauteed onions and mushrooms to the gravy. Enjoy!

I didn’t add bacon or eggs and it turned out great! I’d make sure that you stuff that cup with veggies or you’re going to have extra dressing

Delicious. The whole family gave it 5 stars. Made this salad without bacon to make it vegetarian. Followed advice of some reviewers and only added half of the dressing but it was not enough for our taste so I added more. In total I’d say I put 3/4 of the dressing which more than enough. I also added some red onion and sunflower seeds per recommendations. Even more delicious. I couldn’t help myself and added pumpkin seeds too.

This is delicious!! I’ve made it a few times. Cut the dressing in half though or you will have about 2 cups left!! Way too much. I also don’t add all the sugar because it’s too sweet. I add about 1/3 of the sugar. I add sunflower seeds to it also.

I made this last night but I added green onions and tomato and only made about half of the dressing. It was delicious and this morning, after being in the fridge overnight, it was wonderful!

I didn’t have wine vinegar so I used an old opened Bottle of white wine and it did just fine. I’ve been making this salad since it was discovered while vacationing in NC, when I was looking for something to make with the ingredients I had on hand. My husband and I loved it so much that it has become a staple in our home. What a great find!

I have made this twice now and it’s delicious. I don’t eat eggs so I left those out and I was out of onions. After making it the first time, I felt like it was missing something… my husband suggested diced dill pickles and that did the trick! A great way to use up extra veggies and it gets better each time. I did wait until serving to add the salted sunflower seeds, they topped it off perfectly.

Best Broccoli Salad Ever!! The dressing is to die for! Firstly, I was so happy to find a Broccoli Salad recipe that doesn’t have onions in it because I am not a fan. I always double the broccoli and cauliflower which makes the amount of dressing perfect. Do not skip the eggs if you can help it. Definitely add sunflower seeds as other reviewers suggest, it adds a great crunch. And lastly, make sure you wait to add the dressing, topped with bacon and sunflower seeds, right before serving. SO GOOD!

This was absolutely delicious. I cut the dressing in half and it was the perfect amount. Two of us ate it all with grilled steaks.

Similar to broccoli salad, I’ve never made it with cauliflower and eggs turned out good but prefer the style without the eggs and with grapes, craisins, and red onion. Oh! And instead of white vinegar I used red wine vinegar for a little more flavor.

This was delicious! I made this as a one-bowl lunch for myself and just mixed everything together. I can see the layering, as the instructions state, if you’re looking for a nice presentation to serve to a crowd. I scaled this down to 4 servings (1/2 cup each of the veggies). I cut the dressing back again, because I couldn’t see using 1/2 cup mayo just for a bowl for myself. The dressing worked very well with all of the ingredients. I also just used one hard-boiled egg. Topped with salt and pepper for a delicious and healthy lunch! Nice recipe!
