Boardwalk Quality Maple Walnut Fudge

  4.6 – 151 reviews  • Walnut Dessert Recipes

Unbelievably, beer isn’t necessary to make the best beer batter! Actually, sparkling apple cider is used to make the coating, which results in something that is tasty, light, and gorgeously crunchy. Not to add that it is quite simple.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 5 mins
Additional Time: 1 hr
Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins
Servings: 18
Yield: 1 8×8-inch baking dish

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups white chocolate chips
  2. 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  3. ¼ cup butter
  4. 1 teaspoon maple flavored extract
  5. 1 ½ cups broken walnuts

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8×8-inch glass baking dish, and line with an 8×12-inch sheet of parchment paper. The ends will hang over the side of the dish.
  2. Melt the white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each melting, for 1 to 3 minutes (depending on your microwave). Do not overheat or chocolate will scorch. Stir in the maple flavored extract until just combined, then add the walnuts. Pour chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish; refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. Remove fudge by lifting the parchment paper, then cut into squares.
  3. As all microwaves differ, the cooking time may vary. You just want to melt it on a medium power.

This is a excellent and easy fudge to make. For those that complain about it tasting like white chocolate, double the maple flavor. I do it with 2.5 teaspoons. Tastes great.

This recipe meets the criteria for a delicious and easy to make Maple Walnut Fudge. My husband ate 9 pieces in one sitting, which is surprising since it is rich fudge. I’ll probably try increasing the maple in it next time, though, because I really like maple! Thanks for the recipe!!

Recipe excellent no changes

This was delicious! And very easy to make. I cut it into 48 small pieces and made 2 nice gifts for friends. I am making a second batch to keep now because we loved it. Very creamy, just enough maple and crunch. Perfect!

I make lots of microwave fudge. I used to use the sweetened condensed milk but wanted to cut down on the sweetness so I found that 1/4 cup half and half or whipping cream works just as well and is less sweet.

I wish I could give it more stars. Made it exactly as written. Doubled the recipe, but wish I had quadrupled it!!

This recipes is fantastic. It’s the only recipe I will bother making. I’ve made the Maple Walnut version and I’ve made a Chocolate Walnut version using milk chocolate & semi sweet chocolate and vanilla replacing the white chocolate & maple flavor. This cuts beautifully. I don’t use my microwave because I’ve burned chocolate before so I just use a glass bowl over a pot of very low simmering water. You still have to watch not to scorch the chocolate. Thanks for submitting this recipe. It’s PERFECT.

This will be the 4th year running that I’ve made this fudge for Christmas. I don’t change anything because it comes out perfect every time. It is one of my biggest requests for the holidays.

Tastes like white chocolate chips. And the texture isn’t even close to real fudge. Very disappointed
Manuel Haynes
I thought this was fabulous and easy. I did toast the walnuts and increased the amount.

Fantastic! My family is in love with this stuff! Thanks so much for this recipe! I read other reviews and toasted the walnuts plus added extra maple extract… then gave it 3 Tbsp of real maple syrup. Perfect. It set up wonderfully. I’ll be making this again!

Did not harden, had 1/4 on an inch of fudge, the remainder was a runny soupy mess, followed recipe to the letter, rather an expensive mess.

This fudge is delicious and super easy to make. I toasted the walnuts on the stove for a few minutes until slightly brown. I added a few extra drops of maple syrup. I also made another batch with semi-sweet chips, but I think would be better with milk chocolate.

So-So at best.
