Beefaroni

It is best to use a candy thermometer when making this simple classic fudge. It is a smooth, creamy fudge with hints of chocolate and pecans mixed in. Simply exclude them if you want your fudge without nuts.

I added green pepper, and sugar to the sauce to take away from the bitterness.

I havent baked it in the oven yet But im sure that would make it better! I tasted it after i mixed the ingredients all together. I browned the ground beef with onion. I did alittle of 2 lbs of meat Im feeding 6. I would normally use 2 cans of stewed tomatoes to sweenten up the sauce when I use Hunts. sauce One big can 29oz. Then I sprinkles in some dry Thyme, lawrys seasoned salt, sat, and pepper… Of course, after I drained the meat..Then a little sugar to take the tart taste ouf of the tomatoes since I didnt have stewed… i would use Risso spaghetti sauce if I had extra on hand instead of hunts cause it deliciouls Then I added a bit of oregano, not too much.. Then 4 cups of cheese and I saved some shreeded for the top I also added minced garlic in the ground beef about 3 big cloves minced and garlic pepper and garlic salt. Mixed it in with the elbow macoroni and sprayed a 9 x 13 and put it in and sprinkled the top with Cheddar cheese.. I tasted it witha spoon and it tastes good before I even bake this Thanks for the wonderful easy recipe I usually make the polish dish that looks similar.. But the cheese and extra spices make it a game changer You could also put in 1/4 red pepper flakes for a suttle kick.. Its just enought Thank you Debby R. Excellent basic great recipe that you can make your own. LOVE THIs.

It was easy to make and very tasty. I made an adjustment though. I used Jimmy Dean Turkey Crumbles instead of ground beef , and that added additional deliciousness.

Super easy and yummy (I double the meat). I will sometimes add mozzarella cheese on top after it has baked. We hardly ever have leftovers and I double this.

This is DEFINITELY on my make again list! I added 1/2 an onion, chopped. The shredded cheese did not melt so I would probably try cooking longer than 30 minutes. But it was delicious!

Loved the recipe but as others noted you might want to season the meat and sauce before mixing. As I browned the meat (I used half ground beef and half ground turkey) I flavored it with Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and Italian seasoning. Then I added tomato sauce to the meat in a pot and seasoned it basil, oregano, parsley, thyme and garlic powder and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Then I mixed the pasta, cheese and meat sauce in a baking pan and baked. Other than that the recipe is a great template.

Chef-boi-ardee makes the very best beefaroni and since I was a boy, the invent and commonality of the microwave has made it so quick to go from can to table that I am sorry, but no Other recipe can beat it!

Super yummy I added 1 tablespoon of chili powder in mine to give a little more flavor but if your kids don’t Ike spicy then don’t add it

Delish–great flavor once you add seasoning that you like. SO much better than any boxed mix! I added some chopped onion, minced garlic, hot paprika, and Mrs. Dash. (I noticed there was a lack of seasoning for this–that’s great if you have kids whose taste buds would like it just with sauce and cheese.) I also substituted wide egg noodles since I had some extra cooked/left over from a couple days ago. Since it’s just my husband and myself, I’m thinking any leftover of this will freeze well.

Perfect base for a weeknight meal. Good as it is but I added cumin, paprika, chili powder, granulated garlic and sautéed onion because what is life without seasoning. Cooked it my Dutch oven on the stovetop and it worked great.

This is a great recipe as it stands, but I made a few changes and made it better! First of all, I use marina instead of just tomato sauce. I added 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and oregano, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, a pinch of onion powder and cayenne, and 1/2 cup chopped onion to the hamburger. I also put 1/4 cup of the cheese aside and put it on top before putting it in the oven. Delicious!

Not much flavor way to many noodles

I made this to take to a small gathering at church. Doubled the recipe and everyone raved. Hit the spot! Kept it warm in my large crockpot.

I did put a small onion and 1 garlic into it as well. I also sauted the onions and garlic before the beef and mixed it in the beef before mixing it with the rest of the ingredients. Loved it. My kiddos I babysit for also loved it.

I added mozzarella cheese along with the cheddar cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. I also added some spinach.

Really tasty with the right sauce four thumbs up

Not bad, but made a big mistake of using velveta cheddar cheese… took the whole taste away

I would’ve given it more stars but it sounded kind of plain. I seasoned my beef, added ricotta cheese to the tomato sauce and added fresh shredded Parmesan cheese. I baked it for 45 minutes and it came out wonderful !!

I had made an inferior version of beef a roni previously, but it’s so easy I wanted to take another shot. This one worked out much better, the kids loved it and asked me when I’m going to make it again, so mission accomplished.
