I made a couple of small changes, but mainly stuck ot the basic recipe. I was using boneless loin chops with very little fat, so I added some olive oil to the marinade and like some of the other reviewers, mixed all of the marinade ingredients together and put the chops and the marinade in a freezer bag in the fridge for about 2-3 hours. And like at least one other reviewer, I cooked over indirect heat. I put my charcoal on one side of the grill and the chops on the other, with the vent lid over the food, and a smoker box on the fire side. (I do this with almost everything on the grill that isn’t cooked to temp.) The result was a first ballot keeper of a recipe. Smothered it in baby bello mushrooms, and slivered onions sautéed in butter and fresh ground pepper, and paired it with sautéed broccoli and roasted seasoned potato wedges. This hit all the right notes for me — easy, not terribly expensive, and amazing.

This was a quick and delicious difference! Had a huge bunch of Basil so I looked up this recipe. I had smaller pork chops but it worked out perfect! Only change was I put a little olive oil in the marinade with the garlic & lime. Salt and pepper. We grilled it indoor as it was still a little rainy out. (We have a little indoor electric grill) they were delicious. I used lots of Basil. Thanks for this recipe I will use it again!

It was pretty good with double the lime juice and lime zest added. Still, I think it would have more intensified flavor if marinated for a longtime frame, possibly overnight. I had thin sliced chops and 5 minutes per side was a bit too much.

It was average I had such high hopes but this one left me disappointed.

Finally had a chance to make this recipe. Used fresh pork chops and marinated overnight; using 1 extra clove of garlic (5 total) using up what I had on hand. Cooked the chops indoors with my grill pan since it is raining out side and I think it kept the meat juicier. Everyone loved it; very flavorful, will definitely make this again.

Wow. Simple recipe that wow’d the crowd! I marinated it in 30 min too and it turned out amazing. I brined the chops 30 min before putting the life, garlic, basil on to marinate. I think the brine really is essential.

This is an excellent recipe. The flavor combination is delicious. I had 1 inch thick pork chops and I marinated them for approximately 6 hours in a glass bowl turning them several time. They grilled beautifully. I cooked them until just barely pink in the center and they were very tender. This will definitely be in my recipe rotation file.

These were juicy and tasty pork chops., and I’m a new cook on a grill. It’s easy to dry pork chops out but I think the lime tenderized the meat. All the flavors were great. I added a few extra shakes of garlic powder and olive oil so chops wouldn’t stick. I let it sit overnight. It was excellent.

Used canned minced garlic and more basil but other than that followed the recipe. Turned out great!

Followed ingredients and instructions fully. It was tender and had a great basil flavor but the lime was a little overpowering. It was a great marinade and I will do again but with only half a lime and I’ll add onion.
