This caramel is what I use to make dairy-free Twix® bars! It has a delightful caramel flavor and is every bit as tasty as the non-vegan versions available. In actuality, I prefer it and am not vegan. Making caramel candies could be a little trickier, or you could make it a little runnier for dipping caramel apples.

Just like mom used to make
I used day old cinnamon rolls with icing and cut the sugar down to 3/4 of a cup and added peaches. Yum!
I used St Pierre brand sliced brioche bread and it was amazingly delicious. Had about 1 cup of heavy whipping cream in the fridge so substituted it for half of the whole milk. Will make again.- and soon!
First time making Bread Pudding and it was delish. I substituted the sugar for sucralose and used real butter, I also used cinnamon raisin bread and added a little nutmeg.
Best I have made. The eggnog makes all the difference.
It was very good. We ate it warm with vanilla ice cream and I added some cinnamon to the egg mixture a little less sugar. I will definitely make this again.
This was the first time I’ve ever made bread pudding. It was delicious! I used the sweet Easter bread I had just made. I drizzled the butter over the bread and used cold milk. I mixed milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon and poured it over the bread. I won’t be afraid to make bread pudding ever again. This recipe is a keeper.
It was really good. I added more sugar with the bread. 1/3 cup instead.
Delicious! It reminds me of capirotada a lent dessert!
I followed the basic recipe except I made a few changes. I used a 26.4 ounce pumpkin panettone that I cut up and let dry out all day and added about 2 teaspoons of pie spice to the sugar mixture and 1 cup of chocolate chips instead of the raisins. I put this into 2 8×8 pans so I have 1 for the family on Thanksgiving and 1 for my family after. I did follow the baking instructions and they came out perfectly.
DELICIOUS! I was a huge hit at our church dinner! I skipped the raisins, used half and half instead of milk, added 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and a teaspoon cinnamon. I mixed the eggs, half and half, sugar and spices together and poured over the bread. I served with a simple butterscotch sauce made with brown sugar, butter, milk, and corn syrup. Will definitely make it again!
Love this recipe. Simple and delicious. Not a fan of raisins so I left them out.
I have used this recipe several times and each time it turns out great! I was able to cut back on the sugar without changing the outcome to much also.
Sprinkled a little cinnamon on top.
Great to find more recipes that give a mass of bread instead of “slices.” This recipe needs spices – I found that 1 T. true cinnamon and 1 t. fresh ground nutmeg gives it enough. Also, you can cut the sugar down to 1 c. and it is still plenty.
Pretty good with balsamic vinegar on top!!
A good basic bread pudding recipe. I used less sugar as per other folks comments but felt it needed the sugar or add fruit. Great with maple syrup and cool whip on top.
So easy and so very delicious!
Family favorite. I have made it using blueberry, cinnamon swirl and banana breads. Always a winner!
Everyone loved it and give me compliments on it pretty good
Made it using Eggnog instead of milk added Cinnamon, and before putting in the oven coated the top with thin sliced& diced apple cubes! Came out Fatastic :-*
