Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups barbeque sauce
- 5 tablespoons orange juice
- ¼ cup orange blossom honey
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1 teaspoon cooking sherry
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 pounds shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1 (16 ounce) package whole wheat hamburger buns
Instructions
- Combine barbecue sauce, orange juice, honey, orange zest, sherry, cayenne, and cloves in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until warm, 3 to 5 minutes. Add chicken; cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 15 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.

This recipe is easy and very tasty (a sweet heat). I plan to make it again. My preference would recommend less sauce or more chicken. I strained it with a slotted spoon before placing it on the bun.
Made these last night for dinner and they were good! Didn’t use the cayenne because the kids are sensitive to spice, but they really liked them! Easy to put together 🙂
