Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  2. 2 cups very cold milk
  3. 1 cup very cold heavy cream
  4. 3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
  5. 2 cups (about 1/3 box) vanilla wafers
  6. 2 bananas, sliced
  7. 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Put pudding packet contents into a glass bowl. Whisk in the milk. (To get milk very cold, put it in the freezer for 15 minutes).
  2. In a clean bowl, using an electric beater or a whisk, beat together the cream with confectioners’ sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. Line each serving glass with a single layer of vanilla wafers and top with about 3 tablespoons of pudding mix, whipped cream, then a few slices of banana. Repeat creating 3 layers and finishing with a pudding layer. Allow to sit in refrigerator for at least 1 hour and up to overnight to set and soften the cookies.
  4. Top each dessert with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Garnish with pumpkin pie spice, a vanilla wafer and slice of banana.

I made a banana pudding from scratch and topped it with her trimmings.  Great idea!  I’d use instant pudding, if I were in a hurry.

this is very good. it’s a bit hard to find all the ingredients since I don’t live in a trailer park but after all is said & done all my low-brow guests thought it was delicious. One even said “I feel like Alexis Carrington from Dynasty!”. Color me impressed. thank you Sandra for sharing your skill set

Very easy recipe and popular with everyone. I used plastic punch cups and the serving size was perfect.

I loved it! WOW I’ve never had it with pumkn. spice. I thought it gave the pudding a fall taste.
