Ingredients
- 10 egg yolks
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 to 3 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons vanilla
- 4 cups milk
- 3 bunches bananas sliced
- Toasted almonds, for garnish
- Shaved chocolate, for garnish
Instructions
- Separate eggs. Beat yolks, sugar, flour, and vanilla together. Heat milk in double boiler. Add a little milk to eggs to temper the mixture. Add custard ingredients back into the saucepot and cook for 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes thick; be careful not to burn the mixture. Layer the sliced bananas into an oval baking dish and cover with a layer of custard, repeat process until all ingredients have been used. Finishing with the custard. Serve in an oval or square dish and garnish with toasted almonds, and shaved chocolate.
