Loaded with fiber and low in fat, this holiday-inspired smoothie is a satisfying alternative to eggnog. We use dried dates to add some natural sweetness.

I love banana nog. My version is creamier and more nog like. Use a frozen ripe banana, (no ice cubes) blend with a small amount of milk or fat free half and half, add dates, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and ginger to your own taste. You can even add pasteurized eggs from a carton and chia seeds to up the protein and nutrition content. And even a splash of rum.
