Bacon Ranch Pea Salad

Similar to how a dash of salt makes desserts even sweeter and more delectable, the pepper in this cookie actually enhances the chocolate’s chocolaty flavor. Even though the cookies aren’t particularly spicy, you can still know that something amazing and weird is going on.

I made this just as listed with one exception. I had frozen peas in the microwaveable bag and microwaved two bags for five minutes. My husband loved it but asked that I add celery the next go round. Will be making this again and again.

We love this salad. I use Mayo and horseradish for dressing and chop up water chestnuts for crunch.

Use red onion then added 1 stalk celery minced and 2 oz of thin sliced sandwich ham. Very nice

This was great! A nice change from the usual layered pea salad with mayo – the ranch added a little zip. I used sweet white onion but it would be good with green onions, and I think next time I’ll add finely chopped red peppers for color. I thankfully doubled the recipe, because it was gone in an instant – we all loved it!

This was easy to make and very yummy. I cooked the peas for 3 minutes over the stove. They were still frozen at one minute. That was the only change that I made.

I made this almost just like the recipe but I substituted frozen corn for 1/4 of the peas and used a little Vidalia onion. I also cut some cheddar into tiny blocks instead of putting shredded cheese on top. I also used only about half the ranch dressing and mixed everything thoroughly. I am wondering how this would come out if I substituted little cubes of ham for the bacon.

I added two boiled eggs. It was very good

I made it just as written and everyone wanted the recipe! I am making it again today, by request, for a July 4th celebration.

Very good! I will make it again.

Yes, I made it and I was the “Belle of the Ball” so to speak (I’m confident in my manhood at 70., so I have fun). Both of my granddaughters are PICKY, to say the least, came back for more and then wanted the leftovers the next day. For a change, I did not modify this recipe in any way, except to DOUBLE the recipe. I fixed it according to this recipe! However, in the future when the granddaughters won’t be here, I am going to ADD SPICY RANCH DRESSING (1 part Spicy to 4 parts Regular). The Spicy is just that, so be warned. ENJOY …..

I didn’t boil the peas because ick. If I wanted mushy peas, I’d use canned. This turned out really well and I was really surprised because I don’t like peas, ranch, or Cheddar. Together, though, they are pretty good. Of course, anything with bacon is good.

When we made this for a church dinner we added boiled eggs to it and everyone raved about how good it was.

Simple recipe and very good. I used frozen peas and added some roasted red pepper and tomato. Also, I cooked the onion in the bacon fat until it was translucent.

I used mayo and a touch of ranch dressing dry mix. Next time I will add some water chestnuts for more crunch, but it was very tasty!

I added 2 C of elbow macaroni tossed with 1 TBSP butter and coated with Ranch bacon dressing to taste….it was delicious! I’m definitely putting this on my regular menu!
