- 1 lemon, halved
- Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a medium pot of water to a boil over medium heat. Season the water with salt and add the asparagus. Cook until tender-crisp then transfer the asparagus to a serving plate. Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the top and season with salt and pepper, to taste.

I made this and loved it. I boiled my water then put the asparagus in and cooked it bout 20 min. I kept checking it till it got to my tenderness.
mine turned into a mushy mess… how long exactly do you leave it in the boiling water for tender -crisp>
It was a nice a recipe but make sure to cook it a little longer
