So much fun with my 11 yr. Old grandson’s help. Loved it. Easy. We did add a little 2 tbl butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar and a few more apples. To increase portions to fit my family’sneeds. It soon disappears… AND THIS PHOTO WILL BE ALL S LEFT
Wanted to bake my leftover apples, but didn’t want a crisp, pie, or cake. This hit the spot wonderfully – all gooey & caramelly & appley. It does beg for a creamy topping of some sort. I had 6 medium apples & a 8×11 baking dish. Kept everything else the same & it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!
This by no means is a cobbler. It is more like baked apples with gummy ‘dumplings’. Way too much butter and the cobbler part was just a mushy, gummy mass. Although tasty, if you are looking for a real cobbler, this is not the recipe to make.
