My go-to recipe for parties or special occasions is this cool punch. I frequently make this ‘simply because’ it’s so tasty, and my kids enjoy it whenever I do!

I grated 2 cups of backyard apples for these, skin and all. I also added some chopped walnuts. Made very good muffins that I have been enjoying with coffee for a fast breakfast all week.
I didn’t add as many cloves and cut the recipe in half I don’t really care for the cloves in it overall very good definitely would make again.
Husband LOVED this bread. I am making a double batch today.
I did not make any changes to the recipe. It came out wonderfully and so easy to make.
Good flavor, moist. Didn’t change a thing.
This recipe worked for me! I think it’s a good basic recipe that can be customized with the spices. I added more cinnamon, nutmeg, and a small bit of ground ginger- but I tend to add more spice to most recipes. Thanks to everyone who suggested shredding apples, it worked nicely for me! I might try doing some chunks and some shreds next time.
3 cups of apples
My family absolutely loved this recipe. We ate it as breakfast ( with some bacon & eggs, of course), a snack, & even as a dessert. It can fit into any of those categories & I am so thankful that I decided to try it.
This bread is absolutely delicious! When I made the dough it was more like a cookie dough consistency and I thought I’d done something wrong, but then I read reviews and realized others said the same thing. So, before I put it into the pan to bake I added about 1/4 cup of milk (I eyeballed it) and it thinned it out nicely! It made it a similar consistency to banana bread dough when I’ve made that. Anyway, I baked it and it came out great! I’ve been eating a slice for breakfast this past week!
Followed recipe except did not add clove. It turned out moist and so delicious.
yes.I am a diabetic,so I used 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 1 cup, It came out good not too sweet,I think If I make it again I will try a table spoon of water. it was a little dry going in the pan ,but it wasn`t real dry after it baked
I added a tablespoon of coconut oil and did half brown sugar, half white. And I cut the apples into very large chunks. Was delicious.
I have done it for several times, no changes to the recipe, and very easy to make. Flavor wise, excellent.
This was very good! My husband and 9 year old son kept talking about how good it was. I gave it 4 stars because I did not follow the recipe exactly; I used apple sauce instead of butter and pumpkin pie spice instead of the cinnamon and cloves. I would make this again with the same substitutions.
Horrible. Couldn’t stir. Not enough liquid.
Definitely follow what other reviewers are saying and add some moisture and reduce baking time! I added 1/2 cup of old fashioned oats to give the bread a little more oomph with texture and some more complex carbohydrates. I also added approximately 2 tbsp of coconut oil to help keep the moisture. Also used nutmeg instead of cloves (didn’t have any on hand) and it is quite delicious! The bread baked for about 50 minutes, but I think next time I would do 45 (knife didn’t come out clean then, but it sets up in the pan a little). I may also add a little more coconut oil (I am sure canola or other baking oils would be fine, but coconut is all I had on hand).
This was very good. The dough was very dry when I mixed it, so much so that I added a splash of milk to allow the apples to blend in well. The end result was a bit dry, but it nonetheless was very tasty.
This recipe was good! However I did make a few changes. I used half dark brown sugar and mixed the apples in it and let them sit. I added a 1/4 cup of sour cream and about 2 tablespoon of extra flour. I also did not use clove, but a whole tablespoon of cinnimon and a little nutmeg. And baked it for 45 minutes. It was awesome and moist!!
This was amazing recipe. I was actually able to make it with almond and coconut flour and monk fruit to cut the carbs. I also only used 1 apple. Otherwise I followed the recipe and everyone loved it and had no idea it was low carb. I have actually made it 3 times so far and am going to make it again today. I know people say that I didn’t actually make this bread then. I did, just used different flour and sugar choice. Thank you for recipe idea.
I made this today. I followed the directions as written. I used 1 extra large Honeycrisp apple, diced. The batter was very thick. I baked it in a metal loaf pan. It was perfect! I like cloves, but I may try nutmeg next time. My bread was much darker in color than the picture posted, but it’s so good. Tasty and moist, not dry at all. Thank you, Jennifer!
Cake was wonderful! Added slices on top with some brown sugar. For moister cake, added a tablespoon of Hellmanns.
