Any Way You Want It Kale Smoothie

  4.1 – 8 reviews  • Veggie

This one is a favorite of my child, and he receives a serving of each: milk, fruit, and vegetable!

Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 10 mins
Servings: 1
Yield: 1 smoothie

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups chopped kale
  2. ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  3. 3 tablespoons peanuts
  4. ½ cup milk
  5. ½ frozen banana
  6. 3 frozen strawberries, or more to taste
  7. 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Blend kale, yogurt, and peanuts together in a blender until smooth. Add milk, banana, strawberries, and maple syrup and blend until desired consistency is reached.
  2. Substitute any type of juice for the milk. If you choose to substitute juice for the milk, blend juice with kale, yogurt, and peanuts until smooth. If you over-blend with milk, it may become too thick and frozen ingredients become frothy.
  3. You can use any type of yogurt. Substitute honey for the maple syrup.

Yummy! I used a room temperature banana and raspberries since I was out of strawberries The results were fantastic. I’ll definitely make this again

Used a full banana, peanut butter (instead of peanuts), (stevia instead of syrup) and coconut milk but i really like the taste of this smoothie. the taste of the kale blends right in with the strawberry banana flavor. also added some ice

I used agave syrup instead of maple syrup and I did not put nuts in (as I am allergic). I also used rice milk. It was very good and I will be making it again!

Tastes great! I love the different ideas to tweak it. Having this once a day is an easy way to get most of your servings of fruits and veggies in!

I used almonds instead of peanuts, coconut milk instead of milk. It was good enough!

Smoothie was just awful.

I used peanut butter instead of the peanuts. And used raspberries instead of strawberries. Yum, yum!

I liked it with a change. I’m wasn’t so sure about peanuts in my smoothie…almonds or walnuts maybe but not peanuts. I added an organic packet of chai oatmeal which contains oats, quinoa, chai spices in place of the peanuts. I left out the strawberries since they are out of season right now. Overall it was good and I would make this again.
