Amazing Peach Sangria

Great carrot cake in a high altitude variant. A huge triumph at 7000 feet in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup triple sec
  2. 2 tablespoons white sugar
  3. 1 lemon, juiced
  4. 4 fresh peaches – peeled, pitted, and diced
  5. 1 (750 milliliter) bottle Prosecco, chilled
  6. 1 cup frozen seedless grapes
  7. 1 cup frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Combine triple sec, sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl and stir to dissolve; add peaches. Put in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.
  2. Pour peach mixture into a pitcher, top with Prosecco, and serve immediately. Garnish each glass with a few frozen grapes and strawberries.
  3. You can use any orange-flavored liqueur, like Cointreau(R).
