  4.5 – 3 reviews  • Creamer

Warm, buttered slices of this soft banana bread are delectable. Making two loaves from this recipe is simple.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 5 mins
Servings: 52

  1. 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  2. 1 ½ cups nonfat milk
  3. 1 teaspoon almond extract
  4. ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Made as written I couldn’t taste almond at all. The cinnamon overpowers the almond flavor. I ended up adding another tsp of almond extract and 1 tsp of Amaretto. Now I can taste the almond! The consistency is nice and creamy.

It was a little bit bland for me as written, so I added a teaspoon of rum extract, a teaspoon of vanilla, and a little more almond. I can’t buy flavored creamers where I live, so this is a good substitute.

1.19.17 Typically, I drink my coffee black, so I don’t make a habit of using flavored coffee creamers. But every now and then, I do get a taste for something just a little sweet, and this scratched my itch today. Seldom do I have a 14-oz can of sweetened condensed milk on hand, because I just don’t use it often. I buy a 6-pack of La Lecherita sweetened condensed millk (you can find in the Hspanic section of the grocery store) in 3.5 oz cans, and scaling this recipe down to 12 servings called exactly for that amount…PERFECT way to try a new recipe! This is so easy to make and really does give you an amaretto flavor in your coffee. I love what the cinnamon brings to this creamer, just wished it would incorporate into the creamer instead of pooling on top of the coffee (minor thing). Thanks for sharing, this is good stuff!
