Air Fryer Beyond Meat Brats, Onions, and Peppers

Brats made of plant-based Beyond Meat are air-fried to a beautiful crisp and served with peppers. Serve, if preferred, over rice.

Ingredients

  1. 2 links vegetarian bratwurst sausage (such as Beyond Meat®), sliced
  2. 1 medium onion, sliced into petals
  3. ½ green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  4. ½ red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  5. 2 teaspoons olive oil
  6. 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Combine vegetarian sausage slices, onion, bell peppers, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl; stir to coat. Pour mixture into the basket of the air fryer.
  3. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 10 minutes. Shake basket and cook for 5 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of sausage should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

I found it somewhat dry so I made it the Italian way and include petite diced tomatoes. Super easy and delicious to treat yourself. Keep a bag of frozen tricolor peppers and onions in the freezer along with ready to bake french or Italian baguette. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and enjoy.
