Hard frying eggs in the air fryer is incredibly easy and requires almost no cleanup. Give those old-fashioned deviled eggs a fresh look by adding some Asian flavor to satisfy the palate.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Additional Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 40 mins
Servings: 12
Yield: 12 deviled egg halves

Ingredients

  1. 6 large eggs
  2. 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  3. 1 ½ teaspoons sriracha sauce
  4. 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
  5. 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce
  6. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  7. 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger root
  8. 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  9. toasted sesame seeds
  10. 1 green onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Place eggs on an air fryer rack or trivet with enough space between them for air to circulate. Set the air fryer temperature to 260 degrees F (125 degrees C) and set the timer for 15 minutes. Close air fryer.
  2. Remove eggs from the air fryer and put them in a bowl of ice water for 10 minutes. Remove eggs from water, peel, and cut in half.
  3. Carefully scoop out yolks and place into a mini food processor. Add mayonnaise, sriracha, sesame oil, low-sodium soy sauce, Dijon mustard, ginger root, and rice vinegar. Process until thoroughly combined and mixture has a creamy, mousse-like consistency.
  4. Fill a piping bag with the yolk mixture and evenly distribute into egg white halves until they are heaping full; you can also use a spoon to do this. Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onion.
  5. If you don’t have a mini food processor, you can mash the yolks with a fork and then stir in the other ingredients. The food processor just makes it easier and gives you a really smooth and creamy filling.

Nice switch from regular deviled eggs! I left out the Dijon mustard, and I was out of rice vinegar. Turned out very well!

I am so happy to have found this recipe! Eggs came out perfect from the air fryer! Also loved this twist on traditional deviled eggs. I followed directions exactly, but did use spicy sesame seed oil b/c that’s what I had.

Made it for a pot luck but didn’t add the ginger or sesame seeds and used a fine chop yellow onion, everyone loved it

These were so-so. Must have been because I didn’t have an air fryer, and I had to use my egg steamer. Other than that they were delicious , and added it to my list of , “101 ways to make deviled eggs.”
