Ingredients

  1. 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  2. ½ cup salted butter, softened
  3. 1 ⅔ cups grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and butter together. Add Parmesan cheese and work into a solid dough. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out chilled dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper to a thickness of 1/8 to 1/4-inch. Use a small cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles. Re-roll dough and cut out as many circles as possible. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool before serving.

We really like this recipe for a savory cookie! I made a change using 4 oz butter and 4 oz goat cheese since I am a bit sensitive to dairy products. I’m making them again today for a gathering. Thanks for the semi-wild idea!

I did them per the recipe but added cracked black pepper to the flour. I used two different methods to bake. The darker ones were in an air fryer for 7 minutes at 350 f. The lighter ones in conventional oven for 15 minutes at 350 f. You decide what you like, they both taste great!

So, so disappointing. The video made it look so easy but all I had was a crumbly mess. I ended up adding 2 tablespoons of butter flavored shortening and that did help bind it together and proceed as directed but the taste was VERY blah! My husband said it was the worst ever. Definitely need the wine to make them edible.

I made it exactly to recipe. It tasted like a pile of flour. So disappointed.

Make sure you roll them as thin as the recipe says to get a good crispy bite I also used shredded asiago since it was what I had Very tasty

I agree about pairing this with a glass of wine. I did find the dough a little tough to work with. It was very dry and crumbly. I sprayed it with water. I also got 50 servings using a 2 inch cookie cutter. I think I might put more butter in if I make it again.

Simple and natural, I love it. Great for beer and wine, or just for a snack!

Very good recipe! Quick and easy, there’s no need to rest in the fridge for an hour, it’s actually easier to roll the dough when it’s room temperature.

Blame it on my having a major sweet tooth but these were very disappointing and dry. I was very skeptical considering the ingredients but my curiosity got the best of me. I also didn’t think they were easy since the dough is so crumbly and falling apart the whole time. I could only work with it by adding a little water on the second roll out. After tasting the first batch out of the oven, I decided to sprinkle sugar on the second one which helped a little. I will rescue them by putting a dollop of my homemade raspberry jam on them. I’m not including a picture because they look just like those in the recipe. I was wondering if the amount of cheese was wrong in the recipe? Maybe if it was cut in half but not interested enough to give it a second chance.

These were very easy to make, just as the video said. But they are the driest, most bland cookies I have ever had. They might be labeled a cracker instead of a cookie. If they had some sugar, nuts, chocolate chips, etc. mixed with them then they might be worth preparing.

Wondering if you couldn’t roll the dough into a log, chill really well, then slice and bake.

delicious with a glass of wine!

These are phenomenal! So easy to make and they taste like something you’d pay a fortune for in a specialty shop. Perfect with wine for the adults, but my kids love them too!
