Roasted salsa is sweet, acidic, and delectable. This goes great as a side to Mexican food or with chops.

I made a version of this recipe. I used Great Value brand minute rice, smoked turkey sausage, sweet onions, red bell peppers, fresh garlic cloves, pineapple chunks and both the garlic chili sauce called for in the recipe and sweet and sour sauce that I cut with pineapple juice to thin it out a bit. I sautéed the garlic first then added the veggies and meat to olive oil using my wok to brown it all. Once that was done I then added the pineapple and sauce. Once it was all coated and heated through I served it up over a scoop of the rice. It was the perfect balance of sweet and sour and spice. Even my very picky-pineapple and smoked turkey sausage detesting-teenage-daughter enjoyed this meal and said we should have it again sometime. From husband to children all were satisfied with this meal and said it was not only enjoyable but filling! Great idea on how to use what I had on hand and we loved to try something new! “Freaking delicious!” was the general consensus.
This was excellent. I didn’t have chili sauce so I made my own using Ah-So sauce, ketchup, onion & garlic powder, chipotle & chili seasoning and a little BBQ sauce. So good!!!!
It turned out very good. I added more sauce but other than that followed the recipe.
This recipe was delicious. Followed it exactly at first but it was too spicy for me so I ended up adding some pineapple juice to the sauce and it was even more delicious!
Delicious and sooooo easy. Really! I made it with vegetarian kielbasa. I would have preferred it with a little extra pineapple. Still excellent.
Very Good. I used extra chili sauce and fresh pineapple.
I added chopped sweet onion and the cilantro and lime as recommended by others and it was delicious! Definitely a make again for my family!
Maybe just be me. The flavors didn’t really blend and I didn’t like the sweet chili sauce I got even though I got mild.
A little too spicy for my taste
This will be added into our home recipe book. I added some onion and a 1/4 cup of pineapple juice to make it a little more saucy.
I added some fresh garlic to mine and the whole family destroyed the dish. No left overs here.
Ridiculous amount of flavor for so little effort! We only had canned pineapple & mixed its juice with the garlic-chili sauce to make more sauce to pour over the white rice we served with it.
This was such a huge hit with my fiancé and I! Such a simple recipe with loads of flavor. The only thing we changed was we added a small sweet onion and kept everything else exactly as the recipe states. It was AMAZING!
Adding a half of a small habanero paper gives it a nice kick in with the sweetness of the pineapple.
I did not make any changes to the recipe. My fiance loved it and wants me to make it again soon. I think that next time I will try it with shrimp tho
i started the rice first, and in the 20 minutes that it took the rice to cook, the rest of this dish was finished! Quick and easy week night supper, but might be a little too spicy for the kiddos. I had smoked venison and pork sausage on hand, so that’s what I used. Also tossed in some diced onion just because I had it on hand in the fridge. This was a welcome break from the meat & potato syndrome!
Super simple and Good! I will definitely be making this again for a nice change of routine.
Yes I tweaked it a bit. Basically kept it the same. Delicious.

Just made this. This is delicious!!! The flavor was awesome. I will be making this again. Next time I will be adding some more fresh veggies.
I will make it again. I did change the sauce and use sweet and sour sauce. It was delicious.
