Love this dressing. It’s become our favorite now for almost a year. I do use 1/2 the sugar and no water which makes it plenty sweet and thicker.
Did anyone find it too runny or liquidy ? We cut sugar back to 1/3 – 1/4. Dressing is delicious but runs right off salad and doesn’t “stick” to the greens…
Awesome. I have made this several times. I would not change a thing!
I reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup as another review suggested and it was still quite sweet. Next time I plan to reduce the water and vinegar as we found it too thin. Also, I will reduce the onion by at least one teaspoon as I found the onion taste overwhelming the next day.
I use ketchup and mayonaise with garlic powder and onion powder and black pepper and serve over lettuce and tomato salad with real bacon bits. Yum!
I also cut the sugar back to 1/3 cup and the dressing was delicious. My husband is a huge French dressing fan said it’s the best he’s ever had.
This dressing is awesome!!!! Everyone went coo coo over it. And Tricia is right. It IS good dipping her French fries in.
I’m a huge Trisha fan, both of her singing and of her show. I love watching her interact with her guests, and she obviously loves the food she makes. However, the amount of sugar in many of her recipes just makes me cringe. The French dressing here is a perfect example. I decided to make it, but I cut the sugar back to a scant 1/4 cup. It was still very tasty and I’ll make it again. If you are afraid of the sugar as I was, you can cut it way back and it’s still good.
