Most Mexican or Cuban grocery stores provide this cut of beef; however, any butcher can readily provide it upon request. It is a boneless rib eye cut that is extremely thin (1/4 inch thick); you may pan-fry it, but I advise grilling it instead. The ideal way, in my opinion, is to serve it hot off the grill, sliced, and accompanied by a warm tortilla.

The Worcestershire sauce over powers it. There’s better stew recipes.
This recipe replaced one similar called Steak Soup. This one has a great flavor and it’s been made many times! We all love it! My kids are excited when it’s on our menu. Most of the time I make Cheddar Bay biscuits with it. Thanks for a keeper!
This is a nicely flavored, hearty stew. Next time, however, I will use fewer potatoes and more carrots.
I made this in a Crock-Pot using low sodium beef broth instead of bullion and water because I’m on a low sodium diet. It was delicious!! I also added extra carrots because I love them. Great recipe!
Pretty good, slightly dry
It was super easy. I doubled the water and carrots. Then added some parsnips. It went over well with the family.
I just made this but used teriyaki instead of the brown gravy. my husband loved it!!!
My family and I loved this recipe. My 4 kids asked me to make it again and I will. I didn’t have beef bouillon so I just used the whole packet of dry gravy as there wasn’t that much left over. Also, didn’t add the celery because we only eat celery with blue cheese and chicken wings lol 🙂 Thanks for a great recipe!!
Irish stew on steroids. Great flavors. Will definitely make this again.
