it needs a little more heat.
Super, ridiculously easy. I’m someone who makes chili but won’t eat it until the next day so it develops the best flavor, but this was perfect the day I made it and the next couple days as leftovers!
I just make this and it is great and relatively quick and you can spice it up if you want, but I would taste it about half way through to see if you have to add something to give it more kick. But it was fine the way it was for me,will be making it again.
Pretty good but needed more seasoning. Added some chipotle seasoning.
This is really tasty! I cut the recipe in half and only used a can of kidney beans. I didn’t have chili powder, but had cayenne and a smoked chipotle powder. Leftovers were even better with the flavors blending over night. I’ll definitely make it again!
The best chili I’ve ever made! Made it for Christmas Eve and I have no doubt it will be a hit. I doubled the recipe and added 1 lb of lean ground beef along with the ground turkey. Not extra spicy but those who like extra “heat” can add a shake of cayenne pepper. EXCELLENT!!!
Whole pot was gone by bedtime for a family of three! Made this on a cold, snowy day for late afternoon lunch/early supper. Didn’t add the refried beans because we were out. Used the slow cooker after cooking turkey with the onions in a pan first. Served with sour cream, cheddar, & Tabasco so each person could doctor it to their own liking. Definitely will be a repeat dish & winter standby!
This was fantastic. The refried beans make for a great consistency.
Loved it. I added kernel corn, just because I like the sweet crunch in chili. As another reviewer said, the refried beans thicken it in a really good way!
Thanks for sharing. Very good! Will make again.
I made it without substitutions. Delicious!
It was really good!
A hit in our family! I did go off the original recipe slightly: added in some corn and a bit more chili powder for a punch, also used smoked paprika. Used 1 can 10oz of Rotel diced tomatoes with chilis along with 20 oz can diced. I was leery of the refried beans but went for it and was happy with results, helped to thicken it up and great flavor. Will make this again.
I added corn and olives
Super easy and super delicious! My boyfriend and I ABSOLUTELY love this recipe. I’ve made it a few times both on the stove and in the crockpot. The ONLY thing I did diffently was add a little cayenne pepper for spice. I brought some to share with friends at work and they loved it as well! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe!
Simple and delicious. The perfect go to chili.
I had ground turkey that wasn’t used for dinner the night before so I was in a rush to find something quick tonight!
My sister recommended this recipe to me and I was definitely thrilled with the results. I’m not a fan of ground turkey, but need to incorporate it into my diet. I doubled the spices and replaced crush tomatoes with as many ounces in chunky salsa… worked just as well. Absolutely making this again and sending to my other friends.
I used less chili powder and I will make it again.
Perfect easy weeknight recipe! I added green Tabasco to give it the spicy kick my family likes.
Loved it! Super easy recipe. Added in smoked paprika instead. Everyone thought it was great.
