Pork, bacon, green bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, and spices are used to make this low-carb chili that is cooked in a slow cooker. If you have a “keto caveman” inside of you, it is ideal.

This is my new favorite chili recipe!!! Although I’ve made it with just the ground pork, I’ve switched it up and used half ground pork and and half ground beef as well (really good). I also use about .5 lb to a pound more meat and double the amount of diced tomatoes. I leave out the garlic powder (we can’t handle garlic), and I only throw in one broken up green pepper. We top it with sour cream and shredded chedder cheese. It’s a favorite here!!!
I followed the recipe pretty much as written. We aren’t big on green peppers or spicy so I used one pepper and also Wick Fowler’s False Alarm Mild Chili Kit. Their kit comes with five separate spice and herb packets so it can be used to taste. Based off other reviewers I used 1.5 cups of low sodium beef broth and it was still a little too thick. I didn’t use the masa flour packet. Next time I will use 2 cups broth with this chili kit. We still very much enjoyed the recipe and will use it again. 5 stars for me means I could eat it every week. No but maybe a couple times a month.
Everyone in my family loved it. I didn’t taste the bacon, but it was good anyway. I used ground beef instead of ground pork and added one cup of beef broth and it came out perfect.
Really good. I added a few extra pinches of Cayenne Pepper (ok 10) and a 6 oz can of hot green chilis. Turned out excellent with some good heat.
It was delicious…not spicy enough so a little tabasco helped with that!! Loved it
Very tasty and unlike any other chili I’ve ever made. Never considered pork sausage and bacon in a pot of chili. We liked it! I simmered in a pot on the stovetop rather than in a crockpot.
This Chili is great! I added a little extra heat and it turned out great! Will definitely be making it again!
Easy and good. Had to adapt for my family’s taste – cut the green pepper to one, doubled the diced tomatoes (included the liquid), added a small can of tomato sauce and a cup of low sodium chicken broth – we like saucy chili! Used low-sodium chili seasoning as well as a heaping 1/2 teaspoon each of onion and garlic powder. Cooked the pork on the stove – drained it and put it in the pot – cooked the bacon – drained it and put it in the pot – sauteed the green peppers and onion in the skillet – added it to the pot. Used my Mealthy pot (similar to an insta-pot) as suggested by another reviewer and cooked it for 25 minutes using the chili setting. Served it over rice and added a little sour cream (and snacked on it by scooping it up with tortilla chips). Will definitely make again!
Pork tenderloin in cheap, so we ground our own. Ground some bacon with it, to add some fat. We loved this recipe, and will do it again. May add beer next time.
This was so yummy and perfect for a cold night. It was still good the next day for lunch.
best chili I’ve ever made!
Easy enough to make, didn’t make enough I will double the recipe next time really good
I didn’t drain anything and included the grease from the bacon. Slow simmered it on the stove for about an hour instead of the slow cooker. Delicious!
Delicious! Didn’t have cayenne pepper. Will make and eat again
I added a pound of sweet Italian sausage to the recipe and also sliced up 2 jalapeno peppers in addition to the main ingredients! I used my own chili powder instead of the pre-mixed.
Sooooo good, very easy. We will be making this again real soon!
This is so simple and delicious. I added Parmesan cheese to mine and was able to bring it to work for lunches. Boyfriend is not a fan of chili…but he devoured it. 🙂
One of the best recipes I’ve ever had. Used fire roasted diced tomatoes. Awesome.
Absolutely delicious! I will make it again and again. Thanks for submitting this recipe!
I had lots of ground pork to use up so I decided to try this recipe. I think it lacks some seasonings though and thus the 4 star rating. I prefer chili with a mixture of beef and pork sausage.
Amazing Chili and Keto Approved!
