I modified this recipe from one found in a 1594 housewife’s cookery manual! The sauce is excellent yet a little bit sugary.

Great recipe! I did several batches with different seasonings: Ranch, Adobo + onion power, Cajun.

Used garlic powder and chili lime seasoning. I can’t get enough of these!!

I just tried these and they were pretty salty… i’d say inedible. i’d cut the salt at least in half, other than that they were really good and crunchy.

Easy peasy & so delicious. I had a 400 degree oven on, so I put them in it, but only for 10 minutes. I also added red pepper flakes for a bit of zip and dried them thoroughly with my blow dryer set on low (but high heat) and used 1 tbsp of EVOO over 2 big bunches. Really yummy ! (Photo shows how many I ate while writing this review ).

This is the third time experimenting with this recipe. The first time was a disaster. It was the beginning if the pandemic and I was ordering groceries from the supermarket and then picking up. My kale was in a bag / pre-washed and cut. The pieces were much to small and I most likely over oiled it. The second time I bought my own curly kale and used much less oil and this time it was perfect. Yesterday I tried the air- fryer method as suggested by another viewer. It was good but mine turned out better in the oven. I am going to try in the air fryer again but I will put the whole 2 ounces plus a bit in it at once.

It was easy to make. Tastes great too! I used the suggestion to bake for 12 minutes at 300 degrees. Will be making this a lot more!

We cooked this at 250 degrees, approximately 20 minutes and it came out perfect

I loved how these turned out . Used extra virgin oil,and seasoned with Penzey’s “Revolution” spice mix..a little bit spicey..very delicious ..I could eat an entire bunch of kale this way!

I used the same recipe but just threw it into my air fryer at 330 degrees. They came out perfect and evenly cooked. Since my air fryer is small it only fits about a quarter pound in at a time and I found that using 57g of kale, 1 tsp of oil, and a pinch or two of salt works best. I also put it into my calorie counting app and after being cooked it is 15g and is 80 cals per 15g cooked serving. Not bad at all! Air frying them took about 4-6mins

Definitely needs to be completely dry before baking. I did 250 degrees at 25 minutes and it came out pretty good.

I also added flax seeds and nutritional yeast and used my hydrator.

The time and temperature way off. I checked at 15 minutes and my chips were already brown ☹️ Was so bummed.

I am just not a kale fan. It tastes ok and my kitchen smells like kale. Didn’t turn me into a kale fan.

time consuming but worth it!

I made it as directed and it was delicious! I’m making it again today. It’s crispy, has a wonderful flavor, and better, I think, than any other form of kale.

Love kale chips and my kids do too! You do have to keep a close eye though because even a minute too long can burn them but it’s a wonderful and delicious way to enjoy kale!

Geez I love these, which i refer to as crisps (I feel like “chips” are thicker). I followed the instructions and baked at 300 °F, BUT I baked mine for 15 minutes and they were perfectly crispy, not burned, and completely yummy! I have a Maytag gas oven, so I had to do the chips/crisps in 4 batches due to lack of oven space. Of note there were a few kale leaf shreds that were maybe “soft” while everything else was crispy due to density of leaf curliness, but don’t worry. As it cools, it crisps up. But be mindful: these are so tasty and easy to eat that they go fast!

No changes, just stored extra in Mylar bag and they lasted for a while. Even my husband ate these.
