Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

  4.2 – 0 reviews  • Pork

My mother used to make this dish for special occasions all the time: seasoned chicken cooked with potatoes in a cream sauce. Very fulfilling. Even tastes fantastic the next day!

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 4 hrs
Additional Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  1. 1 (2 pound) pork tenderloin
  2. 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  3. 1 cup water
  4. ¾ cup red wine
  5. 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  6. 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  7. freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place pork tenderloin and soup mix in a slow cooker. Pour water, wine, and soy sauce on top, turning pork to coat. Carefully spread garlic over pork, leaving as much on top as possible. Sprinkle with pepper.
  2. Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  3. Remove pork from the slow cooker and let rest for 10 minutes. Slice and serve with cooking liquid on the side as au jus.

The meat had no flavor. I will use different seasonings. Other wise the meat was really good it was very tender and juicey

This was so delicious! Followed the instructions pretty closely. Used left over glaze on chicken the next night, also AWESOME. I’m not a good cook, luckily my husband is… but I made this and we both loved it

I made this and we loved it! Flavorful, tender, and juice. I highly recommend this one!

I would definitely make this again!

This was fantastic. I browned it first, wrapped it in bacon and added some sliced onion. Also I had put it together to soon, so it marinated in the sauce awhile, but would do that again intentionally. I added potatoes in, but I think as other photos show, rice would be a much better side dish with this recipe.

I was worried about too much garlic, but it was really delicious. Next time I make it I think I’ll add a bit more onion soup mix.

Flavors were ok for us. Not sure I liked the garlic mixed with the other stuff.

I didn’t have any French onion soup mix, so I substituted with ranch seasoning. I also had only 1/2 cup red wine, so I added 1/4 cup chardonnay. The flavor is amazing!!!!! My husband immediately said Wow! That’s good!

Family loves this recipe so much, they packaged up the leftovers to take for work lunches. I’m making it again today with a pork shoulder blade butt roast instead of a tenderloin, with double the garlic.

i just did a 1.25 pd tenderloin for hubby and I in 2 qt crockpot option ( I have a 2, 4, 6 choice size with my Hamilton Beach crock) and followed exactly just added baby carrots….meat was yummy and tender you need the Au jus tho, carrots not so tender doing this at low.

SO GOOD! I cook for 5 people – me, my husband, my 87 year old dad, and two boys, 16 and 14. EVERYBODY loved it! It’s a unicorn. My husband requested that I make this once a week. My pickier son cleaned his plate and my other son had seconds. Next time I will double the recipe. I did add cornstarch to thicken the juice as someone else recommended. Great recipe!

Fantastic! I leave out the wine and throw in small Yukon potatoes and peeled carrots, for a complete meal. one of my late wife’s favorite meals.
