Canned (Hunt’s) tomato sauce? Are you kidding?

This recipe is okay, but the cost versus the taste doesn’t make it worth to cook.

Awful, in the garbage. First time ever I through a dinner away. The Hunt’s tomato sauce, no good. It look so great on TV, no one liked it. Looked over all reviews, all were good, not Italian at all.

I used frozen calamari and Paul Newmans Sweet garlic and tomato sauce, I didn’t quite follow the directions, because I never do, but it was wonderful. I sauted the garlic, onion and red pepper and then added the quick thaw method for the frozen linguini, for two-three mins and then added the sauce, plus a teaspoon of vanills, a dash of cinnamon and a teaspoon, or so of Old Bay seasoning….WE ALL LOVED IT>
And Boy do I have picky meat and potatoe eaters here!!!

This was so good! I was a little afraid of cooking calamari as I have never made it before – but it was so easy and came out perfectly. And I really can’t believe how quickly everything cooked. Making the sauce only took about six minutes and prep was only two minutes or so (it would have been less if my calamari was already sliced) – so next time I will put the water on and wait to do the prep until the water is almost boiling. The whole family (including my grade school daughter) loved it!
