I always have this recipe on hand. It has become addictive and has taken the place of desserts for me after meals. Even my hot cereal has it.

Ingredients
- 12 green apples – peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
- 1 (12 ounce) package frozen raspberries
- ¾ cup water
- ⅓ cup brown sugar, or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg, or more to taste (Optional)
Instructions
- Combine apples, raspberries, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a slow cooker crock.
- Cook on Low until apples can easily be mashed, about 6 hours.
- I personally do not really like nutmeg so usually leave it out, but nutmeg lovers should go for it.
- In the past, I have omitted sugar for stevia. I add it after cooking time to taste, and it works well.

This made my apartment smell soooo good! Tastes great. I added a full cup of brown sugar and it cooked for 6 1/2 hours.
