I do a 2/1 ratio or 2cups of sugar and 1cup of water.

Loved this recipe but turned it into a Nojito by adding fresh lime juice and about 7 fresh mint leaves, works well with mojitos too but a little more water. Froze them in silicone muffin cups and when needed I add a little hot water, one of the 1/3 filled nojito muffin cups, lots of ice and some seltzer (and a little water if necessary). Great on a really hot day!

I add 3 tbs. of Grand Marnier to the simple syrup when combining the other two ingredients. Let mixture cool then pour it over sliced strawberries and let sit for at least 1 hour. Ladle strawberries over dessert cups or pound cake and top with whipped cream. So easy and delicious!

I infuse mine with fresh herbs; mint, lavender, orange balm, etc. Use in mocktails!

I premade my Thai Tea mix, but discovered afterwards it wasn’t quite sweet enough. With my batch I added Real Vanilla Paste (seeds) and some lavender flowers (These are specifically for cooking. You can find it in the spice section of your local grocery store) What a wonderful taste and aroma. My husband actually used my batch in his ice tea! Very yummy!

Super easy and quick. Takes just as long as boiling water! And so much better than granulated sugar for lemonade, tea, drinks, etc.

1 to 1 ratlio is a little weak. I think 1¼ cup sugar might be more sweet.

I made this and it worked out perfectly. I then made a rich version (two parts sugar to one part water), as I was using it to make Sodastream syrups and wanted to reduce the volume of syrup used per bottle – and that worked great too. Bonus: add a cup of fresh orange juice and the zest of one orange while making this (filtering through a sieve before bottling) for a great orange flavoured version.

Sweet and simple.

Just a suggestion: I have had a frustrating time with my ISI Whipper. I added sugar and the grains caught in the valve and made it hard to stop the flow. It just dawned on me that using simple sugar would solve the problem.

Easy to do, worked perfectly to sweeten tart cherry juice to use in a cake. Thanks!!

Easy and elegant recipe, good for all sorts of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic.

I make this for sweetening iced tea, but I boil the water and then stir it into the (turbinado) sugar I use. Also, water is wet, sugar is dry, two different measurements.

I made it for my kids and it was a huge hit with everyone! We’re gonna repeat this one!

I added mint leaves from our herb box, equivalent to about 2 bunches from the grocery store. Living in Kentucky means Mint Juleps are not just for Derby Day!
