Before my friend gave me this recipe for green beans with sesame seeds, I had never given green beans much thought. You’ll be astonished by how flavorful this dish is considering how straightforward it is! This method also makes broccoli tasty.

Very tasty recipe!!!
This is DELICIOUS. I doubled the recipe. Rather than using regular olive oil, I used Toasted Sesame Oil. My guys LOVED it! I will be making this again (and possibly for guests).
Excellent and quick recipe
Yummy
A new fav! This was delicious! I used half olive oil, half sesame oil. Frozen green beans (reduce cooking time) and added a dash of garlic powder.
Made it as a side dish for fish, salmon for me and cod for hubby. We both liked it very much. I used frozen whole beans but otherwise followed directions. Will make it again.
So simple and so tasty’
My husband and I loved this and so easy! The only change I made was to substitute a bit of the olive oil with sesame oil.
Very good quick easy and unique take, I added a little sesame oil and red pepper as well
I used this recipe as a “starter” b/c I love sesame seeds and sesame oil, which I subbed for the EVOO. Also, I NEVER try to brown seeds (or any nut for that matter) in oil. A dry skillet and the self control not to walk away for even a couple of seconds is all it takes. I followed the remainder of the recipe exactly as written and the flavor was good. However, the time it took to toast the sesame seeds was lost b/c they came out soggy after all the liquid was added. It decreased the toasted flavor and the texture of the seeds, which is exactly why you’d add seeds. nuts to a recipe. Simple fix: only add toasted sesame seeds to the top of the green beans once they are cooked, or, put seeds in a little bowl and let folks add them as an option. Thanks for the recipe!
Simple and fantastic! Don’t try to put too many green beans in your skillet or wok at one time. It gets hard to handle.
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is you must cook much longer than the recipe states. I cooked beans about 30 min on low. They still had a little crunch but not much. The seasoning was perfect. Super easy, will be my go to recipe for green beans.
Wouldn’t change a thing! Delicious!
I used less oil.. Delicious and simple! Perfect!
So simple yet so flavorful!! Can I give six stars please? Healthy and delicious – use fresh beans!!
Was delicious. Will definitely be putting this recipe on my monthly schedule.
The best green beans ever! Love the ease and the flavor of these beans. They will be a staple in our house.
I did not find the recipe to have any flavor other than the green beans themselves.
Really good and an easy recipe!
Very tasty, I will definitely make it again!
Nothing special. Maybe my seeds were too old. I added two Tbsp, but did not notice any real flavor. The broth dried up before the time was done, and they started to burn, but caught in time. Added more broth, but flavor not any better than if had cooked in water. Could have been my broth too, as it was a no sodium powdered kind. As cannot use a lot of sodium, do not anticipate any future results being any better, so will not make again. However, have used this powdered broth before with fairly good results, so not sure why did not turn out better.
