Ingredients

  1. 3 slices bacon, or to taste, cut into 1-inch pieces
  2. ½ cup diced onion, or to taste
  3. 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
  4. 1 cup water
  5. 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
  6. salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place bacon into a pressure cooker and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 8 minutes. Add onions and sauté for 1 minute. Add green beans; toss until coated in bacon grease, then pour in water.
  2. Close the cooker securely and place the pressure regulator over the vent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Heat until steam escapes in a steady flow, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally according to the manufacturer’s instructions, 5 to 10 minutes. Unlock the lid and remove. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

I loved it. It reminded me of my mothers and aunts version. I added more bacon and onions but it was great.
