Peanut Butter Breakfast Syrup

  4.8 – 47 reviews  • Syrup Recipes

I created this when my girls requested peanut butter syrup for their waffles. It tastes good! Stores for a very long period in the refrigerator. Serve with sliced bananas on top of pancakes. If you want more taste, try using coconut extract in place of vanilla.

Super yummy!! My 13 month old refuses to eat anything but carbs so trying to find ways to get some fruit in him – this morning’s attempt. Banana pancakes. Personally I don’t care for them so I when I scrolled past this syrup while looking for a banana pancake recipe I thought I’d have to try it. Glad I did!!! Only thing was I didn’t have any skim milk so I used whole milk.

I woke up wanting to make me some low carb protein pancaked, but was out of sugar free syrup… what to do? Take to the good ol’ googlie, I find this recipe. Will it work with all natural PB and sugar substitutes? Experiment time! 1/2 cup splenda, half cup lankato brown. This stuff is delicious! So happy to have found this.

I I rarely give 5 stars but this is so simple and delicious. But alas I’m diabetic so I made 2 changes that are simple 1. I use splenda (made from real sugar) and 2. no sugar added creamy peanutbutter. Oh and for a touch of maple flavor I found some maple extract just a little goes a long ways. And, and for the holidays I like to add orange extract and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

I give it a four star peanut butter recipe, I get peanut butter concrete melt at carvers with peanut butter fudge in it and it is very good too. The peanut butter is very good. But one thing how do you store the peanut butter syrup? In the refrigerator or the cupboard?

I made this with natural pb and wondered if it would still turn out and it did! Amazing for pancakes, waffles or any other dessert that a pb lover would enjoy. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I know i am very late to the game but just found this. Love it! Made it with 1/2 c 1% milk, 1/2 c half and half, 3/4 c brown sugar, and a tiny pinch of salt. Cooked all ingredients including vanilla until slightly thickened. Best stuff ever!

Where has this been all my life? Easy-peasy! Budget friendly! I even used old, cheap, separated peanut butter and powdered milk mixture, and it was AWESOME! I did add vanilla while it was cooking, cuz I like to pour in generous amount of Mexican Vanilla, and I wanted to cook the alcohol off. The other change was to add about 4 twists ( or shakes) of sea salt. Thanks to previous reviewers! I served this with” My moms applesauce pancakes” from this site. Also, served with Caramelized pears from the Delmonte website. Served with a way too salty, browned in butter canned ham that just needed to get eaten. I had the canned ham left over from hurricane season. Truthfully, the canned pears, sad looking peanut butter, and totally neglected pancake mix also just all had to get eaten. I was given the pancake mix and just don’t use that much. The canned ham was a desperate move in bad weather. Everything else was so yummy that the canned ham was forgivable! By the way, this entire meal was cooked ahead for an unexpected dinner. Just let the pancakes completely cool off of baking racks, then store in fridge with everything else. This is gonna be part of my Christmas brunch this year, with spiral sliced ham or thick bacon. Thanks so much Tara Lofley! You are a genius!

I did half brown sugar half with sugar and added some corn starch. It didn’t seem to help thicken it much and even after letting it sit it was quite thin. It made exactly one cup after I cut the recipe in half.

I substituted almond milk for cow’s milk. And the result was yummy! This was served over Chef John’s Banana Bread Pancakes and the combination was yummy!

I love this. For storing leftovers I bought a cheap condiment bottle with a lid. Microwave for 10 seconds at a time to reheat. I made it as is except I only had whole milk. I was completely broke the day we tried it and had to feed to small kids with what I had in the pantry and fridge. We also made chocolate pancakes so it was basically a peanut butter cup dinner.

It was great. My mom used to layer peanut butter on pancakes and then syrup, but this is both!

Made one slight change, melted half a block of cream cheese and made an absolutely delicious peanut cream cheese. LOVE IT!

Made this with fat free lactose free milk and store brand peanut butter. Was very runny so we had some water and cornstarch. Very good over oatmeal pancakes!

This was amazing! We paired it with banana chocolate chip pancakes and it was absolutely delicious!

This was very good. My four year old really liked it. While I did too, I found that a little goes a long way. Don’t do what I did and pour a generous amount on your pancakes!

I really didn’t like this. It was really thin/watery. In fairness I used Kirkland brand natural peanut butter and I haven’t been thrilled with that either.

I made this for my boyfriend who loves peanut butter on everything and he loved it!

This recipe is great! I used homemade peanut butter. You could probably add other flavorings too, such as cinnamon. Thank you very much
