Ingredients
- 1 cube chicken bouillon
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen Brussels sprouts
- ½ pound smoked bacon, diced
- 1 large onion, minced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ cup raisins (Optional)
- 3 tablespoons pine nuts (Optional)
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil; dissolve bouillon cube in the boiling water. Add Brussels sprouts; cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain.
- Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving bacon drippings in the skillet.
- Cook and stir onion in bacon drippings until transparent and tender, about 10 minutes. Add honey and soy sauce; stir until liquid starts to bubble, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in Brussels sprouts, bacon, raisins, and pine nuts; cook until Brussels sprouts are heated through and well coated, 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.

Delish and easy, I cut back a tablespoon on both the soy and honey because of personal preference.
This came out sooo good! I didn’t add the raisins and I roasted the sprouts in 425 oven for 15 minutes then tossed into bacon, onion, soy honey mixture. Very easy and tasty!
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit! The only difference was that I used fresh brussel sprouts and steamed them. It was delicious and easy and everyone loved it.
This is now my favorite way to eat Brussels sprouts. Boiling them first makes them really tender, and the sauce is delicious!
These Brussels sprouts were great! A crowd pleaser.
A good recipe for people who don’t care for Brussel’s sprouts I thought, because this recipe covers up their taste pretty well. I do like them, however, so not my favorite.
Super easy but needed more seasoning. Maybe a little cayenne pepper
Delicious! I roasted the brussel sprout halves with olive oil in the oven at 450° for 6 mins. I also added a couple cloves minced garlic in with the onion. Kept everything else the same. Great recipe!
These were such a hit!!! I omitted the chicken bouillon. Halved the sprouts and cut the bottoms off.
Terrific. Perhaps lighten up on the bacon. Excellent side.
Very tasty. I had to substitute pumpkin seeds for the pine nuts and Craisins for the raisins. But otherwise everything turned out great .
I used maple syrup instead of honey, and two cloves of garlic. We left out the raisins and nuts. Fantastic!
Sooooo Delicious!!!
These were amazing – used fresh Brussel Sprouts tho, skipped the raisins, nuts and sesame seeds.
Great dish!!! Recommend roasting instead of boiling Brussel sprouts. Big hit at the party!!
Instead of boiling, I roasted these with olive oil after cutting the ends off and halving them, no bouillon used. Followed the recipe for everything else and they came out amazing. A little bit of Sriracha at the end gives it the perfect kick.
Left out the raisins, pine nuts, and sesame seeds and it was all still so amazing. I may try roasting the sprouts in the future just as a textural preference, but still absolutely amazing flavor.
I made this last night with a few revisions. It was OUTSTANDING! I cut theBrussels Sprouts in half and roasted them with a little olive oil at 450 for about 15 minutes to give them a nice roasted flavor. Then I combined them with the bacon, onion, pine nuts and cut the soya sauce and honey in half. I will make this again.
i loved it. flavorful and easy to make. going to make this a lot more often.
This recipe was delicious! Will definitely be making them like this more from now on. Everyone loved them!
These are awesome! I will be making this often. The only thing I did differently was I sliced the brussel sprouts and steamed them. Also I didn’t have pine nuts but still probably one of the best brussel sprout recipes I’ve made.
